Mission Statement
The International Trumpet Guild (ITG) exists to promote communications among trumpet players around the world and to improve the artistic level of performance, teaching and literature associated with the trumpet.

Vision Statement
ITG will be the global leader in trumpet education, performance, and community engagement—connecting and inspiring trumpet players of all levels across cultures and generations.

Goal 1: Community Expansion
Grow ITG into the world’s most connected and engaged global trumpet network by expanding reach, strengthening professional communities, and increasing member participation across all career stages.
Strategic Focus:
This goal centers on growth, connectivity, and engagement at scale. It emphasizes reaching more people, deepening professional connections, and building sustainable membership pathways, understanding that inclusive practices are structurally supported elsewhere in the plan.


Strategic Initiatives:
Digital-First Global Outreach
● Develop multilingual content and digital resources to support global participation
● Launch a Global Outreach Program to expand ITG presence in priority regions (Latin
America, Africa, Southeast Asia)
● Implement strategic social media and video engagement to strengthen visibility and
connection
Community Ecosystem Development
● Establish Orchestral and Jazz Outreach Committees to strengthen professional
identity-based communities
● Enhance membership benefits and retention strategies
● Develop targeted professional community engagement across career stages and
performance contexts
Next-Generation Pipeline
● Provide free memberships for age 17 and under to encourage early engagement
● Create premium, paywalled content to strengthen member value and long-term retention

Goal 2: Educational Leadership
Establish ITG as the definitive global authority on trumpet education, performance, and
professional development by defining what is taught, why it matters, and how excellence is
advanced.
Strategic Focus:
This goal centers on educational vision, content, and pedagogical leadership. It defines ITG’s
intellectual authority, professional standards, and learning pathways, independent of the
platforms through which that education is delivered.

Signature Educational Programs & Content
● Launch the ITG Podcast (2026) to amplify thought leadership and diverse voices in
trumpet performance and pedagogy
● Expand the ITG Journal through enhanced editorial scope, multimedia integration, and
scholarly relevance
● Reinvigorate the Listen and Learn series as a flagship educational offering
Professional Development Ecosystem
● Launch the ITG Emerging Artist Fellowship (2026) to support early-career professional
growth
● Establish professional development credit pathways
● Strengthen institutional memberships to deepen engagement with higher education
Educational Network Expansion
● Expand the ITG Affiliate Chapters program to support localized educational leadership
● Develop sustained connections with K–12 music programs
● Create pedagogy workshops and masterclasses that advance teaching excellence and

Design and deliver consistently high-quality, mission-aligned ITG experiences that strengthen
member connection, reinforce educational leadership, and extend ITG’s global presence
through intentional, well-integrated programming.

This goal centers on the quality, coherence, and impact of ITG-branded experiences.
Conferences, events, and partnerships are intentionally designed as high-quality,
mission-aligned experiences that deepen connection, reinforce educational leadership, and
advance community engagement, while serving as strategic vehicles for growth rather than
stand-alone ends in themselves.

Conference Excellence
● Host 2 international conferences by 2030 (includes Asia 2027)
● Maintain 90%+ satisfaction rates through systematic feedback
● Expand scholarship support for conference attendees
Year-Round Engagement Platforms
● Host regional pop-up events and festival partnerships
● Create strategic membership promotion at affiliate events
Strategic Partnership Development
● Co-sponsor competitions (2026 Altenberg Competition with Historic Brass Society)
● Collaborate with sister organizations for joint programming

Goal 4: Inclusivity & Accessibility Leadership
Position ITG as a global leader in equity, accessibility, and representation by removing barriers
to participation and embedding inclusive practice across all ITG programs and platforms.
Strategic Focus:
This goal centers on equity, justice, and access. It addresses structural barriers, representation,
and accessibility, ensuring that ITG’s growth and excellence are shared equitably across
communities, cultures, and abilities.
Strategic Initiatives:
Comprehensive Accessibility Infrastructure
● Expand grants and scholarships supporting performers and educators from
underrepresented and historically marginalized communities
● Develop accessible content standards and guidelines for all ITG digital materials

Cultural Diversity Leadership
● Feature diverse artists and genres across all programming, including jazz, mariachi,
brass band, and global styles
● Utilize Diversity Committee guidance to ensure inclusive programming, communication,
and representation
Educational Equity
● Launch an Equity in Trumpet Education Initiative focused on reducing barriers in K–12
music education

Build and sustain world-class digital infrastructure that enables ITG’s educational, community,
and experiential goals to operate at global scale and year-round impact.

This goal centers on how ITG delivers, connects, and preserves its work digitally. It focuses on
platforms, tools, data, and infrastructure that support education, community engagement, and
institutional memory, without defining educational content or priorities.

Integrated Digital Platform
● Upgrade the ITG website with modern UX, mobile optimization, and secure member
dashboards
● Launch the ITG mobile app through a phased rollout, beginning with conference
functionality and expanding to year-round community engagement features
● Implement AI-driven tools for personalized content delivery, discovery, and member
engagement
Digital Heritage
● Digitize ITG Archives to create a searchable, member-accessible historical content
repository
● Enhance the digital archive of ITG Journals to improve access, discoverability, and
long-term preservation
Data, Analytics & Platform Optimization
● Monitor engagement metrics (e.g., bounce rate, content utilization, app adoption) to
improve user experience and platform effectiveness
● Use digital analytics to support continuous improvement across ITG programs and

ITG has the financial resources, operational systems, governance practices, and leadership
