Mitchell Stowman Appointed ITG Website Director

The International Trumpet Guild (ITG) has appointed Mitchell Stowman as its new Website Director.

Mitchell Stowman is a UX Designer, Frontend Developer, and former music educator based in Pennsylvania. He brings a unique blend of experience in arts leadership, design, development, and digital strategy to his role as Website Director for the International Trumpet Guild.

A former full-time music educator, Stowman previously served as the Orchestral Program and Marching Band Director at Cherokee High School in Marlton, New Jersey. In that role, he guided the program through a period of meaningful growth—strengthening enrollment, elevating performance standards, performing in world-class venues, and establishing the program as a respected presence in the region.

After transitioning from the classroom, Stowman moved into UX design and frontend development, carrying a teaching-first approach to web design. As the founder of Rule 5 Digital, a web design agency, he views digital experiences as a form of instruction—using clear structure and intentional design to help users quickly understand the who, what, and why of a person or organization.

As Website Director for ITG, Stowman is focused on strengthening the website as a central hub for members—improving usability, clarifying access to key resources, and supporting ITG’s educational, archival, and community-driven initiatives.

Adamant about staying involved in music education, Stowman currently serves as Program Coordinator and Visual Instructor for the Mechanicsburg High School Marching Band. He lives in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania with his wife, Sarah, and their two daughters, and is excited to serve in a role that allows him to continue making an impact on the broader music education community.
