Otto Sauter Holds Residency at University of Missouri School of Music

During the week of October 20, Professor Otto Sauter held a residency at the University of Missouri as part of the ongoing collaboration between the World Brass Association and the University of Missouri School of Music.

Sauter presented two group clinics and worked with trumpet students individually. Together with the St. Louis Civic Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Barry Ford, Sauter gave the United States Premiere of Rhapsody for Trumpet and Orchestra by Mikis Theodorakis (1925-2021) in the Lee Theater at Touhill Performing Arts Center. The Greek Ministry of Culture has designated 2025 as the "Year of Mikis Theodorakis" to mark the centenary of his birth. (Source: Iskander Akhmadullin)
