ITG Thanks Dr. Peter Wood for Thirteen Years of Service as Publications Editor

The International Trumpet Guild extends its heartfelt thanks to Dr. Peter Wood for his exceptional service as Publications Editor of the ITG Journal from 2013 to 2026.

Over the past thirteen years, Dr. Wood has demonstrated unwavering dedication, thoughtful leadership, and a clear editorial vision that have elevated the Journal to new heights. Under his guidance, the publication has continued to serve as a vital resource for trumpet players around the world—balancing scholarly rigor with accessibility for musicians of all backgrounds. He has skillfully transitioned the Journal to an all-color publication, brought new and exciting writers to the editorial team, and has been a champion for diversity, so the journal represents the many facets and people within the trumpet world. He also oversaw the archiving of every ITG Journal in a new, accessible format via the ITG Website, a legacy that will be an invaluable resource for many years to come.

Dr. Wood’s contributions have strengthened the voice of the trumpet community and enriched the Guild as a whole.
